Density PolyEthylene. This particular plastic does have a combination of
advantages over other engineering plastics to make HDPE Rod an important
material.

about HDPE Rod, one of the more important ones is it's low friction and the
ability of HDPE Rod to produce products or components that are free running
with very low levels of friction. Another important feature of HDPE Rod is
its excellent resistance to high levels of abrasion, this is an asset that
HDPE Rod excels at and few other engineering plastics can match, this makes
the plastic ideal where highly abrasive materials such as sand or gravel
are present. Natural grade HDPE Rod is also food contact
compatible.
